How to Initiate a Return

1. Contact us at shop@zaoa.com to receive return authorization and the correct warehouse address in China.

2. Ship the item using a trackable service.

3. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund (minus the shipping, transaction, and duty costs) within 3-10 business days.

4. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at shop@zaoa.com.

 


Damaged or Defective Items (Immediate Support)

Ceramics are delicate, and we take great care in our packaging. If your item arrives broken or with significant manufacturing defects, we take full responsibility.

What to do: Please contact us at shop@zaoa.com within 72 hours of delivery.

What to provide: Include your order number and clear photos of the damaged item and the original packaging.

Our solution: We will send a free replacement or issue a full refund immediately. You do not need to return the broken pieces.

 


General Returns & Exchanges (Change of Mind)

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. As a growing independent brand shipping from China, please review our return guidelines.

Return Freight: For "change of mind" returns, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs to our warehouse in China.

Condition & Risk: Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and packaging. As ceramics are fragile, the customer is responsible for secure repackaging. If the item arrives broken at our warehouse, a refund cannot be issued.

Exchanges: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and make a separate purchase for the new item.

Recommendation: If you are unsatisfied, please reach out to us—we often provide a satisfaction discount or a partial refund to save you the hassle of international shipping.

 


Order Cancellations & Adjustments

Our Goal is Flexibility: If you need to make minor adjustments—such as adding/removing items or updating your shipping details—please email us at shop@zaoa.com as soon as possible. As long as your package hasn't left our warehouse, we are happy to edit your order manually at no additional cost.

Cancellation Fee: If you decide to cancel an entire order before it ships, please note that a 5% cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers the non-refundable transaction processing charges we are assessed by payment platforms.

Pre-Checkout Reminder: Please review your cart carefully. When a refund is issued for accidental duplicates or forgotten items post-purchase, payment processors retain a 3% to 4.4% transaction fee.

Discount Codes: Codes must be entered at checkout. We are unable to apply them retroactively.

Sold Out: If something you’ve ordered is out of stock, we’re happy to offer you an equivalent replacement of the same value or a refund.

 


Refund Deductions & Important Financial Notes

Deductions: For all general returns, the original shipping fees, return shipping costs, and any customs duties/taxes paid by us on your behalf are non-refundable and will be deducted from your final refund.

Estimated Costs: Please be aware that international shipping and duties can be substantial (often exceeding 50% of the product value). We recommend reviewing product details carefully before purchase to avoid these costs.

Global Support: We operate across different time zones. If you find something amiss, please contact us and wait for our reply before finalizing your payment.
